Everything Warraq does — reading, searching, annotating, text and image editing, merging, splitting, compressing, OCR, password protection and removal, signing, watermarking and every other tool — runs entirely on your device. Your files and their contents are never sent to our servers or to any third party, and we have no way to access them.
Every Warraq tool — reading, editing, and all fourteen tools — works without any account. Signing in (via Google or Apple only; we never manage a password ourselves) is completely optional, and is only needed to activate the free AI trial or to sync your points balance across your devices.
If you do sign in, we keep only the minimum: your account identifier and email as received from your sign-in provider, and your points balance. We never collect your real name, contacts, or location, whether you sign in or not.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time — see the account deletion page for steps. If you never signed in, you have no account in the first place; uninstalling the app removes everything local instantly.
Processing tools are unlocked with points that are granted for free and refill monthly. Your balance lives on your device. To prevent abuse of the points system (farming an endless balance by reinstalling or by spoofing devices), the app sends our server a hashed technical device signature together with an integrity verdict from Google Play Integrity. That signature:
Warraq is free, with no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. It is funded by an optional rewarded ad from Google AdMob. There are no interstitial ads, no app-open ads, and no ads inside the reading screen. An ad is offered only when you ask for a tool and your balance is short — and you are always free to decline it.
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used: which screens are opened, where people stop, and whether the monthly points grant is enough or runs out too fast. This measurement never touches your files or their contents in any way.
What we log are anonymous events about the app itself, such as:
Google automatically attaches to these events a pseudonymous app instance ID, your device model, OS version, app version, and an approximate country derived from your IP address without storing the address itself.
What is never logged: any file name, path or content, your search text, your annotations, your name, your email, or your precise location. This measurement data is never linked to the hashed device signature (section 3) or to the advertising ID (section 4), and is never used to target ads at you. Uninstalling the app stops the collection and ends the pseudonymous identifier.
Warraq AI has not launched. Nothing from your documents is sent to any server in the current version, and the in-app introduction screen is entirely local. When the feature does launch, the text of the document you choose will be sent to a model provider for processing, and only after your explicit consent. We will update this policy before enabling it.
Preferences (language, theme, output folder), annotations, recent file lists and libraries are all stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes them. Cloud backup of app data is deliberately disabled.
Files produced by the tools (merged, compressed and so on) are saved to the Warraq/Output or Downloads folder, whichever you choose. They remain yours alone: they are not removed when you uninstall the app, and they are never sent anywhere.
Warraq requests access to your device files (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on Android) for one purpose: to find the PDF files you already have and list them under "My Documents", and to save tool results where you ask. No file's contents are read unless you open it, and nothing from it is sent over the network.
Warraq is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any data from them.
If we change this policy materially — in particular when the AI feature launches — we will tell you inside the app before the change takes effect.
