FAQ

What people usually ask us

Are my files uploaded to your servers?

No. Every operation — reading, editing, compressing, scanning, OCR and every tool — runs entirely on your device, and no file ever leaves it. The Warraq AI feature (which would send document text for processing, with your explicit consent) has not launched and is not active in the current version.

Is the Smart Scanner free?

Yes — scanning and saving your pages as a PDF are free and use no points. Only the optional «searchable, copyable text» switch uses the OCR tool's points, because it runs full text recognition.

What are points, and why do tools need them?

Reading and everything around it is free and costs no points. Points apply only to heavy processing (merge, compress, OCR, protect…): you get a welcome gift when you install, your balance refills automatically every month, and you can earn more at any time with an optional ad.

Does the app force me to watch ads?

No. There are no interstitial ads, no app-open ads, and no ads in the reading screen. The only ad is fully optional: it is offered when you ask for a tool and your balance is short, and you are free to decline and wait for the monthly refill.

Do I need an account or a subscription?

No — no account is needed to use Warraq's core tools. Signing in (entirely optional) only lets you activate the AI trial and sync your balance across devices. Optional paid packages are coming soon for extra features, but they're never required to use the app.

Does it work offline?

Yes — reading, every tool and the scanner work with no connection at all. You only need the internet if you choose to watch an optional ad to earn points.

Which languages are supported?

The interface is available in sixteen languages: English, Arabic, Persian, Kurdish (Sorani), Urdu, Turkish, Hindi, Bengali, Thai, Indonesian, Japanese, Russian, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese — with full right-to-left support. OCR reads Arabic, Latin-script languages and text that mixes both.

Which devices does Warraq run on, and when are the other versions coming?

Warraq is available today on Android via Google Play. We're now working on iPhone, iPad, Windows, macOS and Linux. We don't announce a date until a version is genuinely ready — stay tuned.
